Very Important Pet Packages (VIPP)

With National Pet Month approaching why not celebrate your cuddly canine friends with a trip to one of our dog-friendly hotels and let them enjoy some well-deserved pooch pampering! With our Very Important Pet Package (VIPP) your dog can choose from a delicious gourmet doggy menu, or receive a complete make-over with our on site dog grooming parlours. To complete the package your dog can expect a welcome treat and a toy to play with, as well as a comfortable basket in which to curl up and snooze at bedtime. For a spot of doggy exercise therapy, our dog walkers will lead the way and take your pooch on exciting adventures through the hotels’ abundant grounds and nearby parkland so your dog can experience the best of the British countryside whilst you relax and soak up some sun.
Cliveden is delighted to welcome well-behaved dogs to the House this summer for a relaxing weekend in its beautiful surroundings. Your pooch can be treated to a gourmet dinner prepared by the head chef. With over 250 acres of designate woodland paths your four-legged friend can roam around the beautiful surroundings, whilst you take in the delights of the walled garden and Orangerie. Book our Doggy package from only £425 inclusive of VAT to include a welcome pack in your room with doggie treats, dog basket, suggested walks and tailored information. Dinner from our chef’’s canine menu will be served in your room. Owners can enjoy dinner in the Terrace Dining Room, breakfast and full use of the spa facilities during your stay. Dog-sitting and walking services also available.
Based on two adults and one dog sharing a club room with doggie treats and welcome pack, three course a la carte dinner in the Terrace Dining Room and doggie dinner, Sunday to Thursday to 31st December 2008, subject to availability. Please note there some National Trust restrictions within the estate, Dogs are welcome in the bedrooms and public areas, but not the dining rooms, Pavilion Spa or walled garden. Dogs are the full responsibility of their owners and should be well behaved.
Treat your pooch to a Springtime make-over at one of our Gloucestershire hotels. The Greenway will be hosting City and Guilds qualified dog groomers to wash, trim and style your pet as you wake-up to a full English breakfast, whilst over at Washbourne Court their ‘Doggy Dreams’ package aims to create a lap of luxury for your four-legged friend. You can enjoy an afternoon tea of scones and jam whilst your dog, the star of the show, gets its paws buffed and polished to perfection at a local grooming parlour…Just like some of the smart breeds paraded at Crufts, the Cotswold’s mutts won’t know what’s hit them when they see your pooch come strolling into town!
For a more bespoke service The Royal Crescent will provide your dog with its own personal butler to assist on two walks daily and cater to its every ‘woof’, so both you and your pet can enjoy being waited on hand and foot.
If your canine companion knows its’ Pedigree Chum from its’ Winalot then why not visit Homewood Park this Spring; their luxury pooch pack promises to treat furry dinner guests as the ultimate VIPs. Head Chef Daniel Moon has created a delicious gourmet menu full of nutritious dishes to give your dog a kick-start to its day – so you may well find it’s not you taking your dog for walkies in the beautiful Somerset countryside but your dog taking you for walkies! A discretionary £10 will also be donated to the local Bath Cats and Dogs Home at Claverton Down.
Meanwhile at Lewtrenchard Manor your pet can tuck into a sumptuous menu that even Gordon Ramsey would be jealous of, beef casserole, braised steak and chicken fricassee are just some of the recipes on offer from their 3 rosette kitchen. If that doesn’t whet your appetite then it certainly will appeal to your dogs!
For the more adventurous and sociable canine creature why not visit Ynyshir our idyllic rural retreat in Wales where your dog will be greeted by Oscar the Bernese Mountain dog. The hotel is set in over fourteen acres of beautiful gardens with tumbling streams, wide open moorland, and golden sandy beaches, creating the perfect outdoor playground which your dog will surely never want to leave!
At Thornbury Castle resident sheepdog Indie will happily show your pooch around its beautiful Tudor grounds, or let your dog run wild on long walks with Maisie the West Highland Terrier and Sweep the Cocker Spaniel in Ston Easton’s stunning parkland surrounded by the Mendip Hills.
For more refined doggy outings The Mount Somerset is offering its guests complimentary tickets to the dog-friendly Hestercombe Gardens so you can wander amongst the stunning spring blooms with your furry companion.
National Pet Month aims to raise awareness of animal welfare and promote pet ownership, thus Thornbury Castle, Homewood Park, The Ickworth, Moonfleet Manor and The Royal Crescent will all be donating a percentage of your accommodation charge to local and national animal charities.
